Barley sorting

Typically a cylindrical sorter is used to sort the barley, similar in construction to the trieur. Cylindry są wykonane z blachy stalowej z wytłaczanymi podłużnymi otworami o szerokości 2,2, 2,5, 2,8 mm, and lengths up to 25 mm.

Machines with high capacity have separate sieves for each type of grain.
Sorting sieves should be tightly enclosed in order to limit the dustiness of the room.
A fan extracting the dust and directing it to the dedusting devices is attached to the sorter housing.
Sometimes a sorter with flat screens is introduced, arranged in several layers. These sieves perform vibrating movements. They take up less space and work very thoroughly.
